From Mercedes-Benz comes the new 2013 SLS AMG GT, available in either a gullwing Coupe or a drop-top Roadster. It’s as clean as the SLS that came before it but features a slew of enhancements that keep it looking as iconic while improving on its already blister performance capabilities.
Developed using experience gained from racing the SLS AMG GT3, the SLS GT features a better-breathing and higher compression version of the celebrated 6.3-liter V-8, now producing 583 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. With the added power, this hand-built eight-cylinder rockets the SLS GT to 60 mph in a stunningly quick 3.6 seconds, the newly remapped AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission changing gears even faster than before. The new AMG Adaptive Performance Suspension help to keep up with the improved engine and transmission.
Go inside and you’ll find a re-sculpted steering wheel that’s reminiscent of the SLS AMG GT3, while both drive and passenger sit in sports seats trimmed in designo leather with center sections finished in Alcantara. Available in three different color combinations with both single and two-tone finishes, the AMG design STYLE interior package comprises a distinctive upholstery design featuring full designo leather with contrast stitching and a diamond quilt design on both seats and door panels.
All-in-all, the SLS AMG GT is one for the ages and continues to spearhead AMG badge and all the expectations that come with it.
