As Volkswagen enthusiasts descend on Wörthersee in Austria for the annual GTI-Treffen later this month, VW Group brands are also gearing up to showcase some toys exclusive to the show. Past meets have introduced cars like the Audi A1 Clubsport Quattro, Volkswagen GTI W12-650 and Skoda Fabia RS 2000 Roadster. This time, Audi’s first to unveil something, as they’ve taken the wraps off the Audi A3 Clubsport Quattro concept. It’s based on the S3 sedan, but swaps out its 2.0-liter turbo four for a retuned version of Audi’s 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five. The engine’s been further retuned to produce 525 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. It’s been fitted with a reworked suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes inside 21-inch wheels. Audi says the A3 Clubsport goes 0 to 62 miles per hour in a 3.6 seconds with a top speed somewhere north of 190 mph. The Audi A3 Clubsports Quattro concept will be on display at Wörthersee 2014 from May 28th to May 31st.
