Freemans Sporting Club of New York has teamed up with Hodinkee to create the Traveler Sportcoat, a formal piece that’s made with the Hodinkee team in mind. It provides an inconspicuous pocket on the inside that will help to discreetly carry a second watch to collector events and functions. The reinforced pocket can hold at least one watch inside the left chest of the coat, while still holding the fit and drape of the fabric. What we like here is that not only is the jacket able to give folks that extra bit of function that we most likely would not find anywhere else, but the overall design and fit of the sportcoat is still quintessentially FSC. It’s made from 100% Italian worsted cashmere that’s extremely durable and is half-canvassed with a lightweight canvas chest piece. Expect a tailored fit, based on the Freeman sportcoat with notch lapels, hand-cut oxhorn buttons and many other fine details.
