Nike has featured Manny Pacquiao in the third instalment of its documentary series capturing the motivations and inspirations of Nike athletes in their training. The 5-foot-7 Filipino boxer has been training for over two decades. He started when he was 14 years old and turned pro by age 17. He is the only boxer in history to have won world championships in eight different weight divisions. Now he is preparing for the biggest fight of his life in Las Vegas on May the 2nd. Over 100 million Filipinos and many more fans will be watching him and expecting him to make them proud.

The 36 year-old boxer spends his days training in a gym in Las Angeles, amidst anticipating fans and many other distractions. As a result, Pacquiao’s training process is one which requires focus so that the athlete can block out outside distractions. “I love to have people around me while I’m training. But you have to prepare your mind, train your mind,” says Pacquiao. “When you focus, you don’t have to worry about, ‘Oh, what am I gonna do? Maybe I’m not ready,’ or anything like that. But you have peace of mind and you’re ready to fight.”
