Porsche 911 and Boxster Get ‘Black Edition’ Models

Porsche has announced a new special series for the Porsche 911 Carrera and Boxster, and in the words of Henry Ford, ‘You can have any color, so long as it’s black.’ The ‘Black Edition’ features both vehicles in a mix of black body color with black accents like darkened headlights, and a black interior. Standard features include cruise control, a Sport Design steering wheel, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, heated seats, and the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) navigation module.

The 911 Carrera Black Edition is based on the entry-level 3.4-liter flat-six engine model which produces 345hp. It is offered in a coupe and convertible version. It has 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels and LED headlights which include the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+).

The Boxster Black Edition is also based on the entry level model with a 2.7-liter flat-six engine which produces 261hp. It features 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels, bi-xenon headlights with PDLS, and a black soft top and rollover protection bar.

The Porsche 911 and Boxster Black Edition models are now on sale in Germany.
