Virgil Abloh’s Spring/Summer 2016 Collection Jumps from Streetwear to Much More

Virgil Abloh and his fashion studio, OFF-WHITE, recently launched their Spring/Summer 2016 Collection, called “Blue Collar.” Despite its name, Virgil insists that he’s making the move to white-collar creations. “I call it Blue Collar, but I actually want to make white collar clothes,” he said. His collection definitely shows just that. The pieces show a departure from the streetwear we’ve been used to seeing from OFF-WHITE so far, with pieces that look better suited in. This collection includes matte-black coats matched with oxford panels, as well as other (liberally) deconstructed pieces of menswear such as oversized jackets and trench coats. Lovers of the traditional Virgil Abloh work will be happy to see more of his staple work, T-shirts, in the collection.
