Brooklyn design crew, Snarkitecture, has just turned the National Building Museum in Washington D.C. into a Giant Ball Pit. The project, called “The Beach,” is an interactive architectural installation that takes the familiar experiences of a day at the beach into an unexpected setting: Indoors, under the soaring classical arches of the National Building Museum. The Beach is basically a 10,000 sq. ft. enclosure of 750,000 recyclable plastic balls, open to anyone who’d like to enjoy the beach experience without getting wet (or sunburn). The installation even comes complete with beach chairs.

Check it out in the gallery below. And if you’ll be in the nation’s capital anytime soon, this should make a trip to the National Building Museum in order.
