Cadillac has just unveiled the all-new XT5, set to replace the SRX when it officially debuts in next week’s Los Angeles Auto Show. 278 pounds lighter and 3.2 inches larger than the SRX, the 2017 Cadillac XT5 still packs a 3.6-L V6 engine that delivers 310 HP’s and 270 ft-lbs of torque. There is also a 2.0-L turbocharged 4-cylinder version, but will only be made available for the Chinese market.

The 2017 Cadillac XT5 definitely looks like it belongs in the family, with a face that crosses the best of the Escalade and CT6’s. The leather and wood-lined interior is warm, and it features a state-of-the-art Rear Camera Mirror system that turns the rear-view mirror into a rear-view camera that reportedly will enhance the driver’s rear vision by 300%. The system reportedly uses a dynamic range camera and special software to create a clear view by removing the roof and pillars.

We’ll get lots more info on the 2017 Cadillac XT5 when it debuts next week at the LA Auto Show, so stay tuned for it.
