The Yeezy Boost is 2015’s FNAA Shoe of the Year

2015 FNAA Shoe of the Year The Yeezy Boost-01

After taking the footwear world by storm this year, Kanye West’s Yeezy Boosts have been awarded “Shoe of the Year” at the Footwear News’ Achievement Awards ceremony last night. Since West introduced the 750 Boost at the Grammys in February this year, it has been the most coveted, most talked-about, and most recognized shoes this year. It stayed relevant and hugely popular owing to Kanye’s relentless marketing efforts and timely releases of new colorways.

Today, the Yeezy line of sneakers appeals to a wide fan base. It has become staplewear for anybody who’s anybody in any industry – celebrities, fashionistas, and even the President of the United States. (Kanye West gave President Obama two pairs earlier this year.)

At his acceptance speech, a relaxed Kanye said: “Your job is to create while you’re here. And if anything stalls that or gets in the way of that, we have to burn it to the f***ing ground!”

With the Yeezy Boost as the FNAA Shoe of the Year, this marks the second-straight year adidas has won the award. The Stan Smith won the award last year.
