Volvo’s LifePaint Is A Safety Spray For Nightime Riding

Volvo's LifePaint May Save Thousands of Bikers

Volvo Cars, in its mission to ensure their cars will no longer injure or kill anyone by 2020, has created an innovative safety paint called LifePaint. Designed for nighttime riding, LifePaint is a unique water-based spray paint that’s invisible during the day, but very visible at night, in the glare of headlights. Usable on most surfaces, but best on fabrics, the paint can be applied to clothing, helmets, shoes, children’s backpacks, and more. For nighttime dog walkers, it can also be applied on dog leads.

LifePaint will not damage material, and can be washed off. Left alone, it lasts up to seven days. Currently in its testing phase, the special paint is currently only available at Volvo dealers, but if it catches on, it will roll out and save lives all over the world.
