Tomorrow, Oculus is delivering on their promise of bringing the consumer version of its Rift virtual reality headset to folks in early 2016. Oculus will start taking pre-orders at 8am PST, though pricing has yet to be announced. Along with the VR headset, consumers will also include the launch game Lucky’s Tale, a 3-D platformer that’s been popular during demo events. If you’re able to pre-order, you’ll also get a copy of EVE: Valkyrie, a outer-space dogfight game. With all the design details unveiled, we have to say that Oculus Rift looks unbelievably sleek and will be packing all the necessary features to have an in-depth virtual reality experience. Expect the price to be about just a few hundred dollars as it’s geared towards early adopters. Here’s to hoping they don’t price themselves so high that VR’s traction as of late takes a hit. Everyone’s been waiting on Oculus Rift to hit the market and tomorrow morning’s launch has been highly anticipated. Will it live up to the hype? We’ll see.
