John Elliot Goes Dark And Tense For Its Second FW16 Delivery

John Elliot is back with another delivery from its Fall/Winter 2016 collection, giving us the muted and morose aesthetic that we have come to know and love. For this drop, we receive a number of outerwear pieces for the colder months, in addition to a variety of staple shirts and sweaters that are great for layering. John Elliot drew inspiration for this collection based off the desire to “connect with the stirring discomfort of friction.” We can see this theme play out in the collection’s campaign, shot by photographer Patrick Maus in Berlin Germany. “Entitled “Over the Line”, FW16 explores the darker shadowy themes of tension, disorientation, & intense energy,”  and it looks like these themes were perfectly captured in this collection, showcasing the darker side of menswear very effectively.
