Moncler Gamme Bleu Presents Spring/Summer 2018 Collection in Milan

American designer Thom Browne continues to lead the creative direction Moncler Gamme Bleu, this time unveiling the Italian brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection during Milan Fashion Week. Active sportswear and outerwear from Moncler’s side blends with hand-made tailoring, a skill Mr. Browne’s showcased time and time again. The focus for S/S 18 is on crafting must-have transition pieces, giving us three different “groups” of offerings — the grey and grey and white group, the red, white and blue group and the formal black-tie group. Each group features a wide range of tailored pieces like sport coats, Chesterfield coat, peacoat, trench, cardigan, polos, trousers, shorts, and more. Fabric options are a plenty here as well, ranging from traditional wool suiting to cashmere, wool mohair, cotton poplin, Mackintosh fabric, and seersucker. There’s a good amount of technical fabric leveraged as well, including technical wool, nylon ripstop, mesh, and rainproof slicker. Madras plaids, gingham checks, seersucker stripes in a range of colors all make their way into Moncler Gamme Bleu’s Spring 2018 offerings, with moonboots and flip flops tossed in to finish off the looks.
