Saturdays NYC Celebrates 5th Anniversary of Japan Store Opening with Fragment Design Capsule

Saturdays NYC and Fragment Design have teamed up for a Spring 2018 capsule collection to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Saturdays NYC opening its first store in Japan. Five years. For all that the brand’s accomplished in the United States, it’s remarkable to see the longevity of Saturdays outside their home base, especially in a place like Japan where the intersection of fashion and culture is as serious as ever. What’s even more impressive is how Saturdays has gone from having just one store in Japan to now have five total outposts there, from Tokyo to Kobe to Osaka and beyond. And who better to celebrate this with than iconic Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and his Fragment Design brand.

The six-piece range consists of two cotton tees and two French terry hoodies, a candle, and a car fragrance tag. Look for the tees and hoodies to come in black and white, with a reflective Saturdays slash print over Fragment Design’s logo and an oversized “Saturdays New York City Fragment Saturday” graphic on back.

The Fragment Candle is produced by Tokyo’s retaW and features a mysterious, spicy scent with a hint of patchouli and vanilla. The diamond-shaped fragrance tag also comes in the same “Natural Mystic” scent.

The Saturdays NYC x Fragment Design capsule collection is available now alongside the S/S 2018 main collection at all U.S Saturdays NYC retail locations as well as through their online store.
