Louis Vuitton Foulards d’Artistes Scarf Collection at Dover Street Market Ginza

Louis Vuitton Foulards d'Artistes Scarf Collection at Dover Street Market Ginza

Louis Vuitton has launched its Foulards d’Artistes scarf collection in Tokyo with help from Olivier Zahm, editor-in-chief of French fashion magazine Purple. The scarves, designed by a group of international artists, made their retail debut at Dover Street Market Ginza this past Saturday with other LV stores getting the goods next month. Zahm also shot a series of photos of the scarves and brings more light to another photography exhibition he is doing at Tokyo’s Last Gallery, originally owned by the late Dune magazine founder and publisher Fumihiro Hayashi.

The Foulards d’Artistes collection is produced each season in collaboration with a specific artist, and for this edition New York-based Japanese creative Aiko was asked to create the new, graffiti-inspired prints. (via super)

Coming Soon | Dover Street Market New York Store

The New York Times reports Rei Kawakubo is looking to open a DSM New York as the designer recently came to Manhattan to scope out a few different locations. With the multibrand Comme-owned stores already calling London and the Ginza district of Tokyo home, opening a space in New York is something a lot of folks have been anticipating. The New York DSM will be in an area where there are no other fashion stores in hopes of revamping the identity and culture of the area.

Bleu de Paname at Dover Street Market Installation

Bleu de Paname at Dover Street Market Installation

Dover Street Market launched a new installation with French label Bleu de Paname in the basement of their four level loft in the middle of London. The installation features original military boxes and artwork from the 1960s that looks to convey the true spirit of the brand. DQM’s got an exclusive uniform that consists of a reworked version of the Bleu de Paname’s Vest de Comptoir jacket as well as a pair of trousers. Both pieces are lined with corduroy so they’ll be ideal for the winter months. The jacket is about $265 while the trousers are $210 USD. Look for the goods now at the installation inside Dover Street Market.
