Profound Aesthetic ‘Beauty in the Wild’ 5-Panel Hats

Profound Aesthetic 'Beauty in the Wild' 5-Panel Hats

Profound Aesthetic is at it again, this time dropping their “Beauty in the Wild” collection. The late summer offerings range from tees, polos and tanks to must-have accessories like leather wristwear and snapbacks. It’s all really great stuff but their 5-panel hats stood out to us the most. There’s an animalistic element to the Cheetah-print variety but softer floral-print options are tossed into the mix as well. Our favorite? The maroon paisley hat. It’s made from a cotton shell and features a brown suede brim that’s meshed with a green under-visor. Talk about striking gold. All the goods are available now through Profound Aesthetic but you can them at select retailers as well, Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom included.

Ralph Lauren Floral Print Niagara Camp Shirt

Ralph Lauren Floral Print Niagara Camp Shirt

Ralph Lauren drops this shirt exclusively for London’s Number Six. It comes in the label’s custom fit which happens to be one of my favorite cuts on the market right now. “The wash and subtle irregularities in colour to the shirt are the result of a special treatment to give an authentic sun-faded effect.” It’s lightweight and features a fly collar with top button detail as well as two front patch chest pockets and a straight hem.

Epaulet Red Floral Shirt

Epaulet Red Floral Shirt

For Spring 2011, we’re really digging floral print shirting. It’s something that has to be done very sparingly so you aren’t confused for a tourist and it’s really all about the print. Some fabrics are proving to be louder than others but this shirt from Brooklyn’s Epaulet has all the right ingredients. Their fit’s known to be great and the print is a subtle red that isn’t extremely eccentric by any means.

With a look at Engineered Garments’ Spring 2011 lookbook and highlights in a few different publications, we were able to get a comprehensive look at the New York label’s fine offerings for the months ahead. Polka dots and floral prints reigned supreme and we’ve finally spotted their scarves out on the market, some of which are of the floral variety. Three different styles are available, each a unique pattern from the other but still crafted right here in New York, as is all EG product.
