The Want | Tretorn Cykel Boot

The Want | Tretorn Cykel Boot

Not sure if you guys have noticed but we’re huge fans of Tretorn here at PH. Their latest addition to the fall lineup is the Cykel boot which I’m personally digging alot. The outdoor-inspired high-tops feature leather cap toe uppers, woven trim at the ankle, tonal laces with alternating grommet and hiking boot D-ring hardware, cushioned footbed, and rugged rubber sole with wrapped heel. The contrasting sole really makes these kicks standout and makes them more versatile than you’d initially think.

Terence Koh x Converse Minimalist Chuck Taylors

Terence Koh x Converse Minimalist Chuck Taylors

Converse’s iconic Chucks may just be the most revivaled sneakers of all time. The low cost coupled with such a uniform high top structure made it an easy investment for any designer. Up until now, Converse’s John Varvatos line offered our favorite pair. Terence Koh changed has changed that with his minimalist rendition. At the release party for the shoes at Opening Ceremony, Terence explained, “I wanted to keep the DNA of the Chuck Taylor intact, while reducing the seams, and smoothing out the shoe’s surfaces as much as possible”. The added bonus is that the pair’s a part of the 1HUND(RED) campaign, so a percentage of sales of these shoes go to fighting AIDS in Africa.

It’s one clean pair and if you want to get it, you can head over to Opening Ceremony‘s LA or NYC location come November 21st. No price yet, but we’re hoping it clocks in around $200, so the decision to buy won’t be too difficult. Hit the jump for more images.

Common Projects Training Boot [Fall 2009]

Barneys has these training boots from Common Projects, giving us more of the Manhattan-based label’s simplistic and understated design philosophy. The Leather cap toe lace up boot is fitted with a side zip and snap-tab closure at topline in a dark brown shell. Like all Common Projects shoes, this training boot is also hand-made in Italy, giving reasoning to the cost.

Fall 2009: Double Identity Diver Boot

Fall 2009: Double Identity Diver Boot

Oak has got some fine kicks in stock from one of our favorite labels, Double Identity. This season, they’ve dropped the Diver Boot in three different varieties, all within a fairly reasonable price range. First up is the Black Pony, which is a multi-textured boot fitted with fur, suede and leather. The remaining two are canvas high-tops in white and black flavors, with two suede straps and coated laces.
