We’re used to seeing anniversary celebrations take place on the regular in this space but they’re usually in the three to five year range. Brands loving celebrating their annual birthdays and use it as a marketing tool ever too often. We’ve rarely been able to witness a brand hit anything beyond ten years and to see a retail shop hit twenty is downright remarkable. They’ve been blessing Stockholm with the finest since the early 90s and their collaborative effort with Stone Island may be one of their best releases to date.

This parka features a broken-in design and features a waterproof shell and an orange detachable wool lining. The engineered hood has inserts in stretch jersey at the sides and drawstring while there are two windproof pockets on the front and two diagonal pockets on the chest with jersey inlay.

Thom Browne is only available through a select number of outlets but now the New York designer has officially launched his online store, allowing you to buy the goods directly from the source. This helps the label in many ways but the most important will be in terms of their bottom line. As for the product, we’ve highlighted some of their goods in for fall in the past few weeks and expect to see more here as we begin to dig into the newly launched online store.

Dockers x Urban Outfitters Mobile Shop

Urban Outfitters is taking their store on the road to visit four cities over the next four weeks. The fully functioning mobile mini store is made from two 20′ x 8′ shipping containers and will be stocked with a little bit of everything. Dockers joined the project by helping to create a mobile art gallery, which is headlined by South Caroline based artist Hollis Brown Thornton, alongside four up and coming artists from the Southeast. The Gallery showcases each artist’s version of khaki using raw Dockers ‘Alpha’ Khaki material.

Throughout October, the store will be traveling 928 miles across the Southeast United States with stops in Columbia, SC, Athens, GA, Tallahassee, FL and Knoxville, TN.

We’re just days away from Uniqlo opening the doors to their second flagship store, this time invading Fifth Avenue in New York City. The 89,000 sq. ft. space is vast and will look to further advance the brand’s progress here in the states. Uniqlo will be unveiling new partnerships and activities in the weeks ahead to celebrate the opening. We’ve already heard about their outdoor roller skating rink in Meatpacking and we’re sure there will be other events of the sort coming up as well. The store opens on October 14 (this Friday), while Uniqlo is opening their third American store at NYC’s 34th Street just a week later on October 21st. (via GQ)

Back in May, the first ever Drake’s shop was opened, with a distinct location in Mayfair at No. 3 Clifford Street. The store carries everything you’re accustomed to seeing on the British label’s online shop and offers up exceptional service to boot. Bespoke services are offered as well as Drake’s provides an unequalled array of the finest neckwear fabrics, and all of Drake’s ties are meticulously handmade in their own Clerkenwell workrooms. A move that’s long overdue, The Brothers Corsillo have finally taken their highly successful Hickoree’s online shop and opened their first brick and mortar establishment. Situated in the South Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY, the shop is a floor under their office where brothers Sandy and Emil have run both Hickoree’s as well as The Hill-Side over the past few years. The product’s as diverse as it is online with everything from wiffle ball bats and Blue Cow soap to parkas from Owner/Operator and new packs from Epperson Mountaineering. The shop recently collaborated with Fair Ends for two wool caps, both of which are available in-store now. (via Secret Forts)

Nudie Jeans expands their presence in Los Angeles with the opening of the Nudie Jeans House in West Hollywood off Melrose Avenue. The 600 sq/ft space is right by other notable shops including Fred Segal and American Rag and works as a hybrid between denim sanctuary, retail space and wholesale office. The Nudie Jeans House operates as the west coast wholesale office from Monday-Wednesday, and welcomes the public Thursday-Saturday 11am – 7pm, Sunday 11am – 5pm, located at 710 N. Edinburgh Ave (between Melrose & Waring).
