Obama cancels appearance on Saturday Night Live’s season premiere due to Hurricane Ike

We were looking forward to seeing Barack Obama on SNL tonight, but unfortunately, that will have to wait.  The Obama campaign has said that, “In light of the unfolding crisis in Texas, Senator Obama has decided it is no longer appropriate to appear on “Saturday Night Live.”  We’re pretty bummed out that he’s not going to be there tonight, but it was a good move on his part.  He realizes the concerns of this country and knows what he has to do.
