Introducing | Oak Street Bootmakers [Fall 2010]

First seen over at Secret Forts, Oak Street Bootmakers specializes in crafting handmade shoes and boots. The Founder and Designer for OSB, George Vlagos, is a Chicago-native and the son of a cobbler so making footwear runs through his veins. All pieces are made in Maine by seasoned craftsman and the leather is sourced from the best — Horween Chromexcel. If you’re looking for holes in the process, the designs or even George’s experience, we’d say good luck.

The designs are impeccable and the time and attention to detail put into each piece is what we’ve come to expect from the finest and Oak Street Bootmakers delivers. George has been around fine footwear long enough to know what it takes to build a good pair. The label’s fall lineup includes a boat shoe, trail oxford and a penny loafer, each available in multiple finish-and-sole combos. Did we mention the prices are really affordable as well? Sounds like a win-win-win-win situation.
