As part of their “Facebook Stories” series, the social media giant has released a short film around Brandon Stanton, the self-taught photographer behind Humans of New York. He came to New York in 2010 and started capturing regular folks on the streets and having conversations with them. He’d then share those portraits via the site’s Facebook page, which now boasts over 2.8 million fans. Together, they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity and have propelled Brandon to become a New York Times bestselling author after he published a book of his work in 2013.
