This week’s Beijing Motor Show is hosting a ton of unveils so who is BMW to be left out of all the fun? They’ve taken the covers off their Vision Future Luxury Concept, a long look ahead at what we can expect from the German automaker. The concept will most likely go through minor refinements before actually hitting the assembly line but it’s the brand’s current definition of modern luxury and where the segment is going. Karim Habib, Head of BMW Design had this to say:
“The design of the BMW Vision Future Luxury is the messenger of our philosophy of modern luxury, one in which innovative technologies play a key and vital role. These innovations deliver a new, multifaceted luxury experience that spans intelligent lightweight engineering, innovative interior design and a radically new user interface design.”
We can expect a newly redesigned user interface, exclusive BMW ConnectedDrive services, and BMW Vision Head Up Display which can highlight things like buildings, traffic signs or hazards directly in the real-world environment.
Beyond the tech enhancements, there’s also the eDrive badge the Vision Future Luxury Concept has on its rear, leading us to believe that whatever’s powering the new sedan will have some sort of plug-in hybrid component. More looks at the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept below.
