We’re gearing up for a pretty epic summer as far as movie releases are concerned. Being added to the list is Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the highly-anticipated sequel to 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Super intelligent ape Caesar is back again, this time leading a growing nation of genetically evolved friends. As the synopsis reads, they’re “threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.” Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is due to hit theaters July 11th.
