Nike goes animated for part three of its #riskeverything campaign. The Last Game is a five-minute feature that stars some of the world’s greatest footballers on a mission to save football from The Scientist, a villain that feels the risks taken by players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr. have a high likelihood of missing their mark. He creates The Clones, automatons programmed to remove all risk-taking and focus only on efficiency, decision-making and results. “The idea behind ‘The Last Game’ is to show the world that Nike, like any true lover of football, believes that the game should be brilliant, daring and bold. Having the confidence to take risks is absolutely vital in football. Imagine a world without the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo, the acrobatics of Zlatan or the wizardry of Neymar,” said Nike’s Chief Marketing Officer Davide Grasso. The film shows the deterioration of the game as the real players go on to live normal lives. Until they wake from this level of normalcy that is. Nike’s The Last Game can be seen in its entirety below while you head to Nike.com to learn more around the #riskeverything campaign.
