Chicago-based menswear boutique Apartment Number 9 features Maison Martin Margiela’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection in their latest lookbook. Embracing Avant-garde style, the Belgian fashion house conceptualizes deconstructed textiles. Set on the dim city streets of Paris, France, the collection emphasizes modern silhouettes in a dark turtleneck sweater and slim button-down shirt opposite tonal buttons. For a complete look, the Black Suit works well worn over the white tuxedo shirt or black button-down, the details including a single button at the front alongside satin-covered buttons at the cuff and waist. The satin lapel tuxedo charms both the broody and charismatic personality. Equally worthy of notice is the navy crewneck sweater with edge band, a unique touch and addition to an otherwise classic wear. Without compressing the seasonable collection in monochrome, designer Martin Margiela presents the Splatter Paint Low Top Sneaker, a sporty number in modest beige with a multi-colored, painted toe-box. Maison Martin Margiela’s Fall 2014 collection is available now through Apartment Number 9, online and in-store.
