Recon Jet Smartglass x Myo Armband

Thalmic Labs has announced the integration of its flagship product, the Myo armband, with smartglasses including Recon Jet as well as Google Glass and Epson Moverio. Each smartglass is geared towards its own market but the Myo armband has industry-wide applications. Essentially, the Myo armband uses subtle hand gestures to interact with apps on smartglasses, so you don’t have to even pull out your phone or remove your gloves to make things happen. The Recon Jet integration stood out the most as they’re geared towards sports and high intensity environments, integrating a Heads-up Display to deliver performance information, navigation and more, direct-to-eye. When blending this with the Myo armband, users can focus on the activity at hand with seamless user interaction with the HUD. Look for the Myo armband to ship this fall (pre-orders now) with the Recon Jet to be available early next year. Check out the video below to get a sense of how both products will work together.
