Automakers are having a strong showing at this year’s CES. BMW showed off their new ConnectedDrive store, have the i8 on display at the show but also unveiled the M4 Concept Iconic Lights. If you were wondering what the future looks like, this is it. Showcased in a Cool White metallic paint job, this M4 boasts several enhancements, most notably LaserLight 2.0, a step forward from the Laser beams seen on the i8. The latest iteration features a 656-yard light range and can work in tandem with other systems like the navi to illuminate corners well in advance, while a laser-based Dynamic Light Spot can provide early warning of people or animals at night from a distance of up to 100 meters. This concept also features OLED-based rear light clusters for better efficiencies. These enhancements really open up future design possibilities as BMW continues to push the envelope for innovation and sustainability.
