Today, Ralph Lauren opens the doors to his first restaurant in New York City, The Polo Bar. Located on the corner of 5th avenue and East 55th Street, the American eatery is casual, yet timeless. It’s adorned with some fine decor that aligns it perfectly with the Ralph Lauren brand while staying effortlessly timeless. Some may be familiar to his other two eateries, Ralph in Paris and another spot in Chicago. This one’s unique though. It pays homage to iconic club atmospheres like the “21” Club, Harry’s Bar in London and J. G. Melon, while still standing on its own. The kitchen will be manned by Sepp Stoner of Arlington Club and David Burke Kitchen with the menu to include crab cakes, corned beef sandwiches and burgers. Steaks are on also and, when availability allows, will be sourced from Lauren’s own 17,000-acre cattle ranch in Colorado. The Polo Bar opens today, January 9th, at 3pm.
