Porsche Cayman GT4

Here’s the car that Porsche fans have been pleading for and have finally gotten. The Porsche Cayman GT4 is everything we’ve come to expect from a 911 “GT” car but without the 911 badge. The performance numbers are great as the 3.8-liter flat-six revs out at 7,400 RPM and delivers 385 horses to the rear wheels and the only gearbox available will be a 6-speed manual. No PDK here, folks. A 0 to 62 time has been clocked at 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 183 mph. The fun doesn’t stop there as the car has everything to support the GT tag, including a GT3-inspired aero kit, lowered suspension, optional carbon-ceramic brakes, carbon fiber racing seats in leather and alcantara, a limited slip differential, and a new refined steering wheel. This is the first non-911 to actually be able to compete with some of the German automaker’s best. Heck, it lapped the Nürburgring in 7:40, which happens to be the same as the 997 911 GT3. Look for the Cayman GT4 to make its international debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show with sales starting in July.
