Amsterdam’s Filling Pieces has really come into its own over the last year or so. Founder Guillaume Philibert is one of the most humble and passionate folks in the industry and his love for footwear really shows when you think about all the attention and detail put into the designing of each piece. The style lineup has expanded to low-, mid-. and high-top variations, all dressed up in some of the best Italian materials available. Our favorite from the Spring 2015 collection is their Low Top Transformed sneaker in mixed grey and we’ve gone hands-on with a pair here. The style’s an edit of their popular Low Top model that’s been fitted with reinforced parts on the heel and sides. The details are immense with this particular color way being fitted with four contrasting shades of grey tanned nubuck. Run your hand over the fine materials and you really get to appreciate all the work that goes into crafting a pair. The leather piping on the ankle strap finishes off the upper. The off-white Margom sole contrasts well with the rest of the body and it’s honestly one of our favorite details of the shoe.
