At today’s Apple Watch Keynote event, Richard Plepler, CEO of HBO announced that HBO Now will be coming exclusively to the Apple TV and the App Store in April. It’s HBO on Apple TV without a cable or satellite subscription. The price is set at $14.99 a month and for a limited time, the first month is free if you sign up on your Apple TV, iPad, or iPhone. What’s more interesting is that Apple TV’s price of $99 has just dropped to $69. This is a major play by Apple as they look to compete with the likes of Google, Amazon, and Roku in the streaming market. $35 for a Chromecast or $69 for an Apple TV that delivers even more content?
