The official trailer for ‘Set Fire to the Stars’ starring Elijah Wood has just been released online. The drama is based on the true story of graduate and aspiring poet John Malcolm Brinnin (played by Wood) and his week-long retreat to save his hero and renowned Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (played by Celyn Jones). The movie is set in New York in the 50s and shot in the classic black and white display of the era.
The film is directed by Andy Goddard in his directorial debut, and co-written by Goddard and Celyn Jones. It also features performances by Kelly Reilly as Caitlin Thomas, Steven Mackintosh as Jack, Shirley Henderson as Shirley, Kevin Eldon as Stanley, Maimie McCoy as Rosie, and Richard Brake as Mr. Unlucky.
Set Fire to the Stars first premiered at the 2014 Edinburgh Film Festival last year and will be released in select U.S. theaters on the 12th of June.
