Sony has announced the production of 16 new films, among them two new installments to the Bad Boys franchise. It’s been twelve years since Bad Boys II and although we’re eager to see Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, their involvement in the two new films has not yet been confirmed. We also don’t know who will be directing the new films, although there are rumors that Joe Carnahan will take over from Michael Bay, who directed the first two movies. Sony has set two preliminary dates for the releases. Bad Boys III is set to be released on the 17th of February 2017, with Bad Boys IV coming out on the 3rd of July 2019.
