Continuing to develop rotary engine technology, Mazda revealed the curvaceous new RX-Vision concept car at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Typical of front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupes, the Mazda RX-Vision sports a long, low hood with the next-generation rotary engine inside. Details on the engine itself is currently unavailable, but being pretty much the only car company that mass-produces the rotary engine, Mazda insists the technology is under relentless development.
Inside, Mazda’s designers gave the RX-Vision a retro look with a minimalist steering sheel and gearshift, complemented by clean upholstery in red and black. Unfortunately, there are as of the moment no concrete plans to bring the RX-Vision into production, but it’s definitely a clear goal for Mazda.
