McLaren Introduces Track-Ready 570S GT4

McLaren’s been consistently adapting its road-centric supercars for the track, and the 570S GT4 is just that for its 570S model. It’s developed in collaboration with McLaren GT competition division as well as CRS GT Limited, an independent motorsport firm. This is strategic as it helps McLaren comply with the lowest of the FIA’s sports racing categories. They’ve taken the road-spec 570S and reworked the body to accommodate the wider track. It’s got Pirelli racing slicks, adjustable dampers and coil-over springs on the suspension, while the aero fittings include a large rear wing, front splitter, and underfloor, a larger radiator up front, and more ducts for added air flow.

Look for the McLaren 570S GT4 to debut at the British GT Championship race at Brands Hatch next month before private teams are able to buy it. Ansar Ali, formerly of Caterham and Lotus and founder of Zenos, has also joined McLaren Automotive to lead as its Motorsport Director, separate from the GT and F1 racing divisions in Woking.
