Aēsop’s New Bucktown Shop is Made from 10,000 Reclaimed Bricks

Architecture and Design house Norman Kelley was recently commissioned by Aēsop to work on the brand’s new Bucktown location in Chicago, resulting in an impressively designed shop that used 10,000 reclaimed bricks, materials that were actually used to create some of the city’s most historic buildings. The bricks are arranged in herringbone and pinwheel patterns across the walls and floors, which makes sense considering the shop’s location is in one of Chicago’s most stylish neighborhoods. Other design details include black steel shelves and black-stained white oak. Head to 1653 North Damen Ave. next time you’re in Chicago’s Bucktown to check out the new Aēsop shop.
