Jerry Lorenzo has spearheaded a collaboration with vintage tee dealer Patrick Matamoros of Chapel NYC and the result is Chapel of God, a curation of extremely rare vintage t-shirts. The project took a little under a year to develop and is a strong reflection of Jerry Lorenzo’s love for all things vintage, which he so aptly expresses through his well known Fear of God label. This particular collection of 65 short-sleeved, long-sleeved and sleeveless tees, all individually marked with ‘CHAPEL OF GOD’ in bold capital letters, is an amalgam of classic artists and bands including Guns N’ Roses, Tupac, Marilyn Manson, Sound Garden, Metallica and Smashing Pumpkins. The collection will be exhibited and for sale at Maxfield in Los Angeles on July 9. Get there early – doors open at 11AM.
