Miles Teller is joining the ranks of Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan in the next highly anticipated boxing-centric movie, Bleed for This. The film tells the story of lightweight, light middleweight and super heavyweight champion Vinny “The Pazmanian Devil” Pazienza and the devastating 1991 car crash that left him with a severely broken neck. In the movie, Teller keeps his fighting spirits in tact and defies seemingly unbeatable odds in his road to recovery, despite the doctor’s admonition that “with this severe of an injury, one bump, one fall, any kind of movement, and your spinal cord could sever.” The challenging and emotionally complex role has already landed Teller in discussions for next year’s Oscar nominees. Bleed for This is directed by Ben Younger, produced by Martin Scorsese and features an impressive cast that includes Aaron Eckhart, Katey Sagal and Ted Levine. The film is set to hit theatres on November 23 but until then, get excited with the trailer above.
