The Oregon company recently teamed up with industrial designer Joey Roth to create a set of wooden speakers that adapt to any environment, natural and unnatural. Known for its wooden accessories, Grovemade’s new speakers are CNC machined and work by hand to echo the aesthetic we’ve seen in earlier, less-electronic releases. Looking to Joey Roth, the Portland company hoped for a product that wouldn’t be constrained by its surroundings, sounding consistently clean no matter where it was put. The speakers work like a concert hall, using its special interior details to propel its sound properly, even if the sound waves have to travel over irregular surfaces. The speakers go for $599 USD and can be found here.
