Award-winning studio Hareide Design has developed a new and innovative 108M mega yacht concept, which draws from the classic 108M mono hull design. The sleek super yacht is made to encourage seamless connectivity with the natural surroundings, as clearly evoked through a statement made by founder Einar Hareide: “Today’s mega yachts are most often designed like floating luxury hotels with interiors based on traditional luxury. With this hybrid mega yacht concept, we want to shift the focus from extrovert admiration to creating a platform for actively experiencing the beauty of nature and the changing elements.”
The incredible vessel creation houses an elevated dining and viewing area, a helipad and a pool that sits on the bow of the boat. Among its more natural features include a tranquil garden surrounding a 20-meter pool and a private beach at the stern to provide a smooth transition to the water. While lithium-ion batteries powered by high efficiency solar panels allow the cruise ship to be self-sustainable, these can be traded in for diesel-electric propulsion for longer distances and higher speeds.
