Banksy’s ‘Devolved Parliament’ is Artist’s Largest Known Work on Canvas, Goes Up for Auction in October

Sotheby’s is set to auction several Banksy prints this fall with the artist’s “Devolved Parliament” piece from 2009 being one of the most notable. With Brexit looming, Banksy’s derisive vision of the House of Commons in London feels quite fitting. Measured at over 13 feet in length, this is the largest known work on canvas and shows the benches of parliament overrun with chimpanzees. It will be exhibited in Sotheby’s New Bond Street Galleries from September 28 before hitting the auction on October 3, where it’s estimated to fetch somewhere between £1.5-2 million.
