BMW M Unveils Limited-Edition 2023 BMW M3 50 Jahre for its 50th Anniversary

BMW M has unveiled a commemorative version of the M3, aptly named the 50 Jahre, which means 50 years in German. The M3 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M will only be limited to 500 units for the North American market, available in five colorways from previous generations.

Drivers can choose from Cinnabar Red from the E30-generation M3, Techno Violet based on the E36-based model, Interlagos Blue inspired from the E46 M3, Fire Orange III used on the E92 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition, and Lime Rock Gray from the last-generation M3 CS.

Its exteriors are detailed with the heritage-laced emblem for BMW M’s 50th birthday, as well as a lot of carbon fiber features for the front splitter, roof panel, spoiler, and tailpipes. The vehicle will sit on forged Style 826M wheels in Orbit Gray finish and either red, blue, or black brake calipers. However, cars that have the optional carbon-ceramic braking system will receive gold-colored calipers.

Looking inside, users are welcomed with a numbered aluminum plaque on the center console and M-colored contrast stitching. They can also opt to order carbon fiber bucket seats to replace the standard sports seats for the front passengers.

M3 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M has the standard Executive and Parking Assistance packages and a wireless device charger. The supercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six that churns out 503-HP and 479 lb-ft of torque. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

The limited-edition 50 Jahre BMW M starts at $96,695, including a $995 destination charge, and manufacturing is set to begin in July 2022. Every unit comes with a BMW M-branded carry-on bag.

There’s no news on how BMW will distribute the 500 units, but we recommend getting in line as soon as possible.
