Underground Lakes of the Ryūsendō Inspire New Grand Seiko Elegance Timepiece

Grand Seiko introduces the SBGK015 as the latest addition to its Elegance Collection. Inspired by the underground lakes of the Ryūsendō in Iwaizumi, the timepiece aims to capture the clear, vivid blue waters and emerald green details of the sunless lakes.

Developed by the watchmakers at Shizukuishi Watch Studio, it is housed in a 39mm stainless steel case and fitted with a crocodile leather strap. It sports a dual-curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and a see-through screw case back.

SBGK015 has a manual winding caliber 9S63 mechanism with a power reserve of 72 hours.

The SBGK015 Ryūsendō is limited to only 250 examples, exclusively sold in the USA for $7,500. It will be available at Grand Seiko Boutiques and select retail partners starting this September. See more of the Ryūsendō-inspired timepiece in the gallery and head to your local GS AD to secure yours.
