Bois Dormant by CELINE Scent Takes Us To Saville Row

CELINE’s Bois Dormant is the newest day scent from Hedi Slimane. The designer’s teenage years in London is a source of inspiration for his clothing and perfume creations.

Drawing from Saville Row tailoring, Bois Dormant’s woody fragrance was designed to evoke all the luxury and comfort of a double-breasted blazer.

The daytime scent has smooth base notes of cedar and vetiver. Orris root is used as a middle note and adds a powdery, efflorescent angle to the blend. The top notes of bergamot and juniper berries complete the scent, giving the perfume its evocative Saville Row English Flannel and wood paneling quality. According to CELINE, expect “the lightness of cologne” with a strong sillage for all day wear.

The contemporary glass bottle, which goes up to 200 ml in size, is used in all of CELINE’s Haute Perfumerie scents, and sports the same sharp-edge fluting on two sides with a black lacquered cap.

Bois Dormant is available online or in CELINE’s boutiques worldwide at around $240 for the 100 ml bottle and $355 for the 200 ml bottle.
