Bentley Bacalar Inspires Two Luxury Aircrafts by Flexjet

Flexjet has just added two bespoke and personalized aircraft inspired by the Bentley Bacalar to its fleet. Ken Ricci, a longtime Bentley customer and Flexjet’s owner, worked with members of Mulliner’s in-house design team on ‘The Bacalar Project.’

The private aviation company’s new Gulfstream G650 private jet and Sikorsky S-76 helicopter are both personalized to reflect Ricci’s unique Bacalar.

The car features a rare Julep exterior paint and customized tri-color 22” wheels in dark gray satin with polished faces and Arctica highlights. The middle of the headlamps was color matched to the Satin Bronze exterior brightware that can be seen on the waist rails and rear deck edging of the car. The hood vents, wing mirrors, side skirts, and rear diffusers, sport satin carbon fiber finishes, while satin bronze outer and matte black inners complete the look of the rear. A white and black theme with Bacalar bronze accents completes the interior.

Among the unique features adapted from the Bacalar onto the Gulfstream G650 and the Sikorsky S-76 included the silver-green chameleon paint for the aircraft’s key accents inspired by Ricci’s Bacalar Julep colorway. The custom seats are inspired by the copperhead shape and basket weave stitching on the Linen and Beluga leather-trimmed seats of the car while a handcrafted 5,000-year-old reclaimed river wood veneer of the Bacalar is matched with the wood veneer used in both aircraft. To round it off, the cabins sport satin Bacalar Bronze fittings and unique diamond-carved carpeting.

Car Zero, the first and original Bacalar, met the Gulfstream G650 at Farnborough Airport before its flight to New York. The S-76 on the other hand, made its public debut at The Quail, part of Monterey Car Week, in August this year.
