Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship Bike Air Teased by Nigel Sylvester Before Official Release

Queens-born professional BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester teases his most recent collaboration with Nike for his rendition of the iconic Nike Air Ship. Dubbed the ‘Bike Air,’ the sneakers were inspired by Nigel’s childhood in Queens, NY.

Drawing parallels to Michael Jordan’s Nike Air Ship sneaker pair he wore coming into the NBA league in 1984, the new pair serves as a symbol of Nigel Sylvester’s story, BMX cycling passion, and tenacity. 

The Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship Bike Air collaboration features ‘BIKE AIR’ on the heel collar, a leather and suede construction, a Summit White/Diffused Blue-Chambray-Sail color scheme, and suede heel panels and swooshes. It has a navy inner lining and tongue branding, small swoosh embroidered detailing on the right forefoot, aged nylon tongues and rubber midsoles, and a diffused blue rubber outsole with ‘GO’ branded insoles.

The Nigel Sylvester x Nike Air Ship Bike Air is expected to drop at select retailers and Nike.com in the coming months and is projected to retail for $140.
