Rolex had more revelations at Watches and Wonders 2023. The Geneva-based watchmaker revealed three new stone-dialed Day-Date 36mm models and three puzzle-piece-faced ones.
The carnelian Day-Date watch, ref 128348RBR, comes with a carnelian dial, the turquoise Day-Date watch, ref 128349RBR, comes with a diamond-set turquoise dial, and the green aventurine Day-Date watch, ref 128345RBR, comes in a highly crystallized green aventurine set with diamonds. All three have 18k gold hour markers set with 32 diamonds, and 18k gold Roman VI and IX set with 24 diamonds.
The Puzzle Piece Day-Date models have the classic fluted bezel but get a new whimsical dial treatment. It features a multicolored champlevé enameled puzzle piece design with either an orange or turquoise background and is set with 10 baguette-cut sapphire hour markers in six different hues. The watch displays different emojis where the date should be, while the day window displays ‘Happy,’ ‘Eternity,’ ‘Gratitude,’ ‘Peace,’ ‘Faith,’ ‘Love,’ and ‘Hope’ in place of the days. The orange puzzle dial comes in yellow or white gold case options, while the turquoise puzzle dial comes in Everose Gold.
All the models feature diamond setting options both on the bezel and the bracelet, branded crowns, a Twinlock screw-down system, scratch-resistant sapphire, arced day display window at 12 o’clock, Cyclops lens over the date window at 3 o’clock, screw-down case backs, fitted with matching President bracelets with concealed folding Crown clasps, and 100m water resistance.
Regardless of the model, all the new Day-Date watches come powered by the Caliber 3255, which is present in all previous models in the collection, and have a 70-hour power reserve.
The carnelian Day-Date watch carries a $43,900 price tag for the yellow gold case without diamond settings in the bezel. There are no published prices for the other watches as of the current writing. For more information on these new watches, please visit rolex.com.
