Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino | Luxury Mediterranean Getaway Opens This Summer
Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, located on the historic Bay of Navarino, is the Group’s first property in Greece. The beachfront resort will offer a unique Mediterranean experience, spectacular views, and the legendary service the brand is known for.
Designed by architects Alexandros N. Tombazis & Associates and K-STUDIO, with an eye towards Costa Navarino’s sustainability principles, the hotel features the use of local materials and planted roofs blending into the natural landscape allowing for seamless indoor and outdoor transitions.
Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino is located on a 140-hectare property just outside the village of Gialova. It is a short distance away from the legendary award-winning golf course, The Bay Course, and provides access to all other Costa Navarino experiences and fine dining options. This includes the new Navarino Agora, an open marketplace with retail offerings, street food, and an open-air cinema.
The new hotel has 48 spacious earth-sheltered pool villas and 51 suites with views across the bay. Rooms range from the 67 sqm Bay View Junior Suite to the luxurious Two Bedroom Mandarin Pool Villa that offers a 278 sqm space with its own private pool.
The culinary experience is spread over five dining venues, with each venue having a distinctive design and culinary offering. Oliviera, open for breakfast and dinner, offers a selection of locally sourced Greek cuisine. Pizza Sapienza, serves up an authentic Italian experience with freshly baked Roman pizza, calzone, grissini, and focaccia, with an evening pizza tasting menu. Tahir offers Levantine cuisine with cocktails and a comprehensive wine list featuring a selection of Levantine Region wines with Eastern Mediterranean craft beers. Brasserie de la Bay offers curated modern French cuisine that acts as a brasserie during the day and a classic grill room in the evening. Finally, the Three Admirals Lounge offers an all-day bar and casual dining experience.
Beyond those, Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino also offers a couple of other dining experiences. The Ormos Beach Club also serves up pizza, snacks, salads, and cocktails. And for a truly unique experience, The Private Kitchen Counter & Lounge offers a bespoke meal or masterclass for 12 to 16 guests in Oliviera’s private dining space. It has a flexible, custom-designed menu, for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries, or as a way for guests to enjoy private cooking lessons, cocktail masterclasses, and wine or cigar tasting.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino will offer luxury treatments and therapies, private treatment rooms, and a Hammam heat and water experience. The Spa features a 25m indoor/outdoor pool with views across the Bay of Navarino. It will also offer personalized fitness experiences, including yoga, nutrition advice, tennis coaching, and an outdoor intelligent movement program.
