Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new Mercedes-Benz CLE series using conceptual and technical changes introduced in the C-Class and E-Class and two available powertrains. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe will arrive in dealerships by early 2024, with the CLE Cabriolet to follow after.
The Mercedes-Benz CLE is the largest coupe in the midsize segment at 191 inches long, 73.2 inches wide, and 56.2 inches high. It features a long wheelbase, a short overhang, a slightly longer rear overhang, large wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels standard on the CLE 300, 19-inch rims standard on the CLE450, a shark nose front form factor, flat LED headlights, new gloss black with chrome trim grille design, chrome-accented side windows, and two-part LED tail lights. Customization options include various other alloy wheels in 18- to 20-inch sizes and ten different exterior color options.
Inside, the CLE Coupe comes with CLE-class specific front seats, standard seat heating, optional ventilation and massage features, 64-color ambient lighting, a 17-speaker Burmester sound system, interior vinyl upholstery with options for Nappa leather trims, more front legroom, 14.8 cubic-foot trunk space, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, an 11.9-inch central infotainment touchscreen running the latest Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX infotainment software version, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
Powertrains on the Mercedes-Benz CLE are split between the CLE 300 4MATIC badge, powered by a 2.0-liter 255-hp turbocharged four-cylinder, and the CLE 450 4MATIC with a 3.0-liter 375-hp turbocharged inline-six. Both models come with a nine-speed automatic transmission and a 48-volt electric motor that adds 23 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque, with a top speed of 130mph.
