A. Lange & Söhne’s Zeitwerk Minute Repeater is the first mechanical wristwatch that combines a jumping numerals display with a decimal minute repeater. Following 2015’s first platinum Zeitwerk Minute Repeater and 2020’s white gold model, the Glashütte watchmaker now presents the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater Honeygold. A unique blend of technical prowess and aesthetic subtlety encapsulates the essence of the A. Lange & Söhne watchmaking tradition.
The 44.2mm Zeitwerk Minute Repeater Honeygold features an 18-carat Honegold polished and brushed alloy case construction, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s legacy. Inspired by the famous clock over the Semper Opera House in Dresden stage, the watch features the iconic Lange 1 double date window and the two windows for hours and minutes of the Zeitwerk. It also features the decimal repeater, represented by the exposed hand-tuned gongs circling the dial and mirror-polished hammers in the lower half. This rare complication chimes the time as it is displayed.
The Zeitwerk Minute Repeater Honeygold also sports a crown at 2 o’clock for winding and setting time, the pusher at 10 o’clock to activate the decimal minute repeater, a sapphire crystal front and back, a gray 925 silver base dial, rhodium-plated German silver time bridge with jumping hours on the left and jumping minutes on the right, 18k Honeygold hands, small seconds, and 30m water-resistance. It comes with a dark brown hand-stitched alligator leather strap with a deployant buckle in 18k Honeygold and white gold.
At the heart of this timepiece is the hand-finished caliber L043.5 movement. The manual-winding movement has a lever escapement, 93 jewels, shock-resistant cam-poised balance, in-house hand-engraved balance spring, jumping hours and minutes, striking mechanism with decimal minute repeater, small seconds with stop seconds, power reserve indicator, and 36 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
Limited to only 30 pieces and available exclusively in Lange boutiques, the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater Honeygold, reference 147.050F, doesn’t have a published retail price, though the price is available upon request.
